EU Blockchain Sandbox Cohort 3:
Lessons Learned in the Renewable Energy Community Use Case
Date: March 18, 2026
In collaboration with:

Lessons Learned in the Renewable Energy Community Use Case
Join us on March 18 for an expert session hosted together with Bird & Bird Netherlands, where we will share and discuss lessons learned from the European Blockchain Sandbox (Cohort 3), with a focus on Renewable Energy Communities and energy tokenization.
As one of the selected use cases in the third cohort, 2Tokens engaged in months of dialogue with regulators and innovators across Europe to explore complex topics such as REC DAOs, regulatory challenges and the tokenization of energy systems. In this session, we will present the key public insights from this process and open the discussion with industry and policy experts on what these lessons mean for the future of decentralized energy models and blockchain-based solutions in Europe. Let’s keep the conversation going!
Key Details:

Chatham House Rules
We follow the Chatham House Rules which is a guideline designed to encourage open discussion and sharing of information while protecting participants’ privacy and fostering a safe environment for candid conversations. When the rule is in effect, participants are free to use the information shared during the discussion, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) may be revealed.
The meeting consists of several keynotes and followed by discussions. The idea is to have people with different perspectives at the table to create some tension in the conversation. Each round will have a presenter / speaker. Participants can ask questions, which the moderator will bring to the table. The session will be concluded with drinks & networking.
