As digital tokens gain wider acceptance, the fast evolution of digital tokens into various forms means
tax payers will encounter challenges and risks. Although one may expect that tokens will be taxed
similarly to their functional equivalent in the real world, this is not always the case. Also, in some
instances there may not be clear guidance on the tax consequences of the transfer or sale of a token.
